The Dragonfly is a traditional shepherd hut which was lovingly handcrafted by the Shire Escapes team. Located in a picturesque village, Yarpole is surrounded by beautiful countryside including Bircher Common, Croft Castle (National Trust) with stunning views stretching towards the Black Mountains. 

Situated in a peaceful location, the Dragonfly enjoys a wide variety of wildlife adding to your tranquil stay. The hut is perfect for cosy, romantic nights stay with a relaxing woodfired hot tub boasting breath taking views. Enjoy the outdoor space, complete with a firepit, BBQ and outdoor dining. The Dragonfly's wood burner creates a warm and snug atmosphere, perfect for unwinding during chilly evenings. 

Step inside to discover a world of cosiness and luxury. The centrepiece of our shepherd hut is the plush double bed adorned with crisp, inviting bed linen, promising you a restful night's sleep. A smart TV is thoughtfully positioned, providing entertainment at your fingertips.

Cook up delightful meals in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a fridge, kettle, and two induction hobs. We've curated a selection of coffee, sugar, and tea, and you'll find an array of utensils, crockery, saucepans, and a frying pan for your culinary endeavours.

Freshen up in the elegant bathroom featuring a rejuvenating shower, sink, toilet and a heated towel rail. Fluffy towels are readily available, ensuring your convenience.

Savour your morning coffee or a quick bite at the breakfast bar, accompanied by two stools for a cosy dining experience. Stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi, and on cooler evenings, bask in the warmth of the fireplace and the soothing embrace of central heating.

We warmly welcome your furry friends to join the retreat, with a maximum of two dogs allowed for an additional fee of £20. We understand the importance of including every member of the family.

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM onwards, allowing you to settle in and embrace the serene surroundings. When it's time to depart, our check-out time is at 11:00 AM.
